We are currently looking for Teamleaders Gruvöns Sawmill in Grums.
Wood Products division provides versatile wood-based solutions for building and housing. Our product range covers all areas of construction, including massive wood elements, wood components and sawn goods. We also offer pellets for sustainable heating. Our customers are mainly merchants and retailers, industrial integrators and construction companies.
In this role you will ensure safe and efficient daily shift work. You will develop your team and solve obstacles to reach targets of the shift, ensure smooth operations and reach work standards. To succeed in this role, you want to be a role model for operators and have strong focus on OI, safety and quality.
You also have a strong “hands-on attitude” to spend most of your time in production and even substitute for operator in exceptional cases. You have strong interest to user maintenance and willingness to cooperate with maintenance.
The role
Your main responsibilities will be:
Responsible for production in the shift and reaching production targets: volume, quality, efficiency, environment
Responsible for employees, safety and quality in the shift
Continuous improvement in all areas
Create a safe working environment by role modelling good behavior, coaching and feedback
Solve problems together with operators
Plan manning (including holiday planning) in own shift together with the production manager
Active development of own leadership and teamwork in the shift.
Cooperation with contractors
This role involves shift work
Requirements for the applicants:
Knowledge of the wood processing industry and production process
Good knowledge of continuous improvement methodology, Genba mindset and problem-solving skills
Team leadership and coaching skills
Technical understanding
Change management and communication
Good Swedish and English language skills
IT skills
The position reports to Production Manager, Gruvön Sawmill.
