You can be part of taking wooden buildings to new heights. Come and join us! We are on a growth journey and looking for a CLT Design Engineer. You will prepare mass timber customer orders from order receipt to release for production.
Tasks
Your key roles will be to:
translate (customers’) drawings into HSBCAD format
waste optimization (Nesting)
checking production feasibilities
detail the invoicing structure
defining lifting devices
procurement of external products
(graphical) load planning
creation of control all documents for customer and internal partners
and release the order for production.
CLT or Cross Laminated Timber is a proven wood panel construction used for walls, ceilings and roofs. CLT can be used in a wide range of applications in single-family houses and multi-storey buildings substituting other building materials such as bricks and concrete.
Requirements
We value for this role:
Good CAD experiences and delight with using CAD applications
Knowledge of AutoCAD, AutoCAD-Architecture and/or special timber construction CAD applications (Sema, Dietrichs, Cadwork) is of advantage. We are using hsbCAD (is based on AutoCAD-Architecture) and regarding knowledge would be the best qualification
Good technical and commercial common sense
Structured and well-organized working style
Ability to work responsibly, autonomously, accurately and persistently
Good knowledge of MS-Outlook and MS-Excel
Good Swedish and English skills. Other languages are of advantage
Friendly and constructive communication with customers and colleagues
Experience with timber constructions is an advantage.
And, ideally you have a good understanding of national building codes and the construction business value chain, as well as a strong network in the building industry.
The position reports to CLT Technic Manager, Wood Products, Wilhelm Polster. The location for this position is Gruvön, Sweden.
